Speaker: Tara Shears (Uni Liverpool and CERN) Title: Electroweak physics with the LHCb experiment Abstract: The LHCb experiment, one of the four main detectors at the Large Hadron Collider, has been designed to investigate CP violation. Due to its geometry, it is also able to measure electroweak processes in the forward region. In this seminar I will describe the LHCb experiment, and show the latest results for W and Z production obtained with the 2010 dataset.
