Section A: The vacuum structure of QCD and the mechanism of confinement

(I) Topological configurations, monopoles, instantons, dyons, vortex structure; flux-tube formation and QCD string; duality and strings; confinement and chiral symmetry breaking.

(II) The interface between perturbative and nonperturbative QCD; renormalons and power corrections.

Section B: Light Quarks (and Gluonia)

Chiral effective theories; sum rules; lattice; Schwinger-Dyson equations; masses of light quarks; light-quark loops; phenomenology of light-hadron form factors, spectra and decays; exotics and glueballs; experiments.

Section C: Heavy Quarks (and Gluonia)

Effective theories for heavy quarks (HQET, NRQCD, pNRQCD, vNRQCD); sum rules; lattice; heavy quark masses and renormalons; phenomenology of spectra and decays; glueballs; experiments.

Section D: Deconfinement

QCD at finite temperature; quark-gluon plasma; colour superconductivity; experiments at RHIC and CERN.

Section E: QCD, New Physics and Experiments

Hints on the confinement mechanism from supersymmetric and string theories. Precision calculations in QCD with respect to experiments and possible new physics. Applications of QCD nonperturbative methods into different fields.

Call for Papers

The conference will be based on invited talks, communications and posters. Those who wish to participate and/or to present contributions are kindly requested to complete the preliminary registration form. The deadline for abstract submission is 30 June 2002. The deadline for registration is 20 July 2002. All detailed information for abstract submission and registration will appear in the second bullettin.
